It is better to carry out the process of processing with the same positioning, clamping mode or the same cutter in order to reduce the number of repeated positioning, the number of cutter changes and the number of moving the pressure plate. Sometimes the cutter setting point is destroyed by the first process, which will cause there is no way to find the cutter setting point of the next process and the following. So when setting the cutter in the first process, pay attention to setting up a relative tool setting position where there is a relatively fixed size relationship with the positioning datum. This cutter setting position is usually set on the machine table or fixture. The selection principle is as follows: easy to find, easy programming, and setting error is small.
3) When choosing the cutter path, pay attention to the relative movement path and direction of the workpiece. A reasonable choice of processing route is very important, because it is related to the machining accuracy and surface quality. In determining the cutter path, the following points are mainly considered. Ensure the machining accuracy, convenient numerical calculation and reduce programming workload, seeking the shortest processing route, reducing empty cutter time and try to reduce the procedure numbers. The advance and retreat (cut-in and cut-out) of the cutter should also be considered to minimize the cutter stop at the contour and leave marks.
