  1.  Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

According to ISACA®, the CISM designation, “Demonstrates your understanding of the relationship between an information security program and broader business goals and objectives.” The program focuses on information security management. CISM IT jobs design and build protocols to manage the organization’s security. Payscale reports the manager with a CISM earns $121,000 on the average.

  1.  Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

The CRISC will test student skills in Risk Identification, Assessment, Response, and Mitigation. It is a rigorous test that certifies candidates have the knowledge and expertise to help companies manage their business risk. Payscale puts the average salary at $111,000/year with significant incremental increases for experience.

  1.  Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

ITProTV calls the CISSP “the gold standard in the IT Security field.” It means the holder has worked in IT Security for five-plus years defining the architecture, controls, design, and management of the protocols that ensure the security of your company. Payscale puts the average salary at $107,000 for managers with CISSP certification.

  1.  AWS Certified Developer Associate

The AWS (Amazon Web Services) curriculum and exam cover the best practices on the AWS platform. Certification requires AWS experience and strength in a high-level programming language. Candidates are tested on their judgment in picking the appropriate AWS services for apps, mastering the platform’s Software Development Kits (SDKs), and proficiency in code-level application security. Global Knowledge sets the average salary for an AWS Certified Developer Associate at $112,984.

  1.  Project Management Professional (PMP®)

The Project Management Institute’s PMP®  assumes five-plus years experience as a Project Manager. It seeks to verify their knowledge and experience managing projects and teams. Students are tested on specific strengths: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Payscale sets the average salary at $103,000 with with healthy increases based on experience.

  1.  AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

The AWS Certified Solutions Architect exam tests a candidate’s expertise in designing systems on AWS: the ability to use AWS SDKs to interact with AWS services, writing code to optimize the performance of AWS services, and the ability to demonstrate code-level application security in IAM roles, credentials, encryption, and so on. This exam confirms a candidate’s ability to demonstrate knowledge of how to design and deploy secure and robust applications on AWS technologies. Payscale cites an average income of $105,000.

  1.  Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)

Everyone agrees on the top-flight CGEIT certification. Those earning this certification are experts in managing, advising, and providing assurance services when it comes to enterprise IT governance. CGEIT certificates can lead to various roles, and with their interdisciplinary experience and flexibility, they command good wages. Their salary will depend on what path they take, but on the average, CGEIT certificate holders make $127,000/year (Payscale).
